BLAKER – 90 years
Fremont Blaker of Carmichaels celebrated his 90th birthday with a party with family on Father’s Day, June 16.
Mr. Blaker was born June 11, 1929, in Carmichaels. On May 25, 1951, he married Eleanor Blaker.
He has two daughters, Hope Hamel (Todd) and LuAnn Carlson (Mark), all of Waynesburg, and one son, Bill Blaker of Morgantown, W.Va.
He has two grandchildren, Shawn Carlson and Alicia Hamel Haas, and five great-grandchildren, Connor and Amelia Haas, and Regan, Stella and Enzo Carlson.
Mr. Blaker served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a coal miner, having retired from Dillworth coal mine.
