The Washington County Tourism Promotion Agency announces an open audition to select a Washington County native to star in the agency’s 2019 advertising campaign. The auditions will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. March 15 and from 8 to 10 a.m. March 16, at Southpointe Golf Club.

The first 50 qualified registrants will be scheduled to audition and the finalist will be awarded with a $500 Tanger Outlets gift card. To qualify, a registrant must be a female between the ages of 8 and 11 and must currently reside in Washington County. The selected finalist will become the voice of the new Visit Washington County, PA advertising campaign and will also appear in the television commercial.

Jeff Kotula, president of the Washington County Tourism Promotion Agency, commented on the importance of authenticity to the agency’s advertising campaign.

“We have an important story to tell in Washington County and who better to tell that story than a young resident that is discovering that Washington County is home to some of the country’s finest historical, entertainment and cultural attractions and who is able to encourage all generations to come to the county and stay to explore our many attractions,” Kotula said.
