German Day was held March 7 at Washington & Jefferson College campus, bringing students from 14 Pittsburgh area school districts who performed and interacted while speaking entirely in German. W&J was one of 60 sites nationwide selected for a visit from the German Embassy’s Wanderbus Tour, which provides an interactive experience incorporating elements such as virtual reality video and social media to introduce students to German culture. Some of the local school districts that participated included Bethel Park, Canon-McMillan, Chartiers Valley, Mt. Lebanon, Peters Township, South Fayette and Upper St. Clair.
