The Washington County Home Show will take place March Friday through Sunday at Washington County Fairgrounds. The event will include more than 100 exhibits, demonstrations and how-to clinics. Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. receive advice from home remodeling aficionado Andy Amrhein. Doug Oster will reveal secrets of successful organic gardening at 2 p.m. Sunday. Home show hours are 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free all three days, compliments of Washington County Tourism Promotion Agency. The food bank at Calvin U.P. Church, 307 Spring St., Brownsville, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday.
A chicken and biscuit dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Claysville Christian Church. Dinner includes creamed chicken over biscuit, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, dessert and beverage. Takeout is available.
