Fix ‘ur Cat’s 7th Annual Spaghetti Lunch/Dinner will take place Friday, March 29, at Western Area Career Technology Center located at 688 Western Avenue, Canonsburg. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Takeout begins at 3 and dinner will follow from 4 to 7. WACTC culinary students will prepare the food, which includes spaghetti with marinara or meat sauce, salad, dinner roll, cookies and lemonade or water. Soft drinks and coffee will be available for purchase. There will be an auction and bake sale. Proceeds benefit Low Cost Spay/Neuter Washington County. Tickets are $10. Healthy Habits Training Center located at the Greater Washington County Food Bank will offer Chick Days! Chicken 101 – Raising Chicks at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 29. An Easter Candy Workshop will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 30, at Healthy Habits Training Center located at the Greater Washington County Food Bank, 909 National Pike West, Brownsville. The gym and fitness center at the Peters Township Recreation Center will be closed March 25-31 for floor refinishing, reopening Monday, April 1. The rest of the facility will be open normal hours during most of the process, including the walking track. All classes will continue unless instructors have informed otherwise. Monongahela Area Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church, 609 Chess Street (enter through the Sixth Street side of the building). Speaker Frank Kurtik, a University of Pittsburgh Heinz Chapel docent, will present “Monongahela Rye Whiskey: The Legacy of Southwestern Pennsylvania’s Most Famous Distilled Spirits.” Admission is free. The Hospital Auxiliary at Washington Health System Greene’s 2019 Pittsburgh Pirates Ticket Event will take place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, in the Lobby on the 2nd floor. The 2019 Fan Appreciation Package offers exclusive pre-season savings, up to 90 percent off. There will also be tickets for Wild Things, golf outings and more.
The Washington Hospital Auxiliary will hold its “EuroHaus” sale, featuring homemade jewelry, homemade decorative plates, fashion scarfs, Russian nesting Dolls and more, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, March 28 and 29, in the Community Room. All proceeds benefit the Washington Hospital Auxiliary.
Cooking 101 – The Basics will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, April 9, at Healthy Habits Training Center located at the Greater Washington County Food Bank, 909 National Pike West, Brownsville.
