The Chartiers-Houston Senior High concert choir will present a spring concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, in the high school auditorium. Performing groups will be the concert choir, men’s ensemble, ladies’ ensemble, Chartones and seniors. Admission is free, and the public is invited to attend.
California University of Pennsylvania’s Government Agency Coordination Office and Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania’s Government Contracting Assistance Center are hosting a local contracting seminar from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, May 15, at the Regional Learning Alliance in Cranberry Township. The free seminar will provide attendees with information on how to do business and identify contracting opportunities in the Pittsburgh region. Tractor Supply in Waynesburg will host its annual Market Day, featuring local vendors and their homemade and homegrown goods, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, May 18. Market Day is a free event featuring items such as crafts, candles, produce, baked goods and more in tents outside the Tractor Supply store at 55 Sugar Run Road. Among this year’s vendors and community partners are Throckmorton Bee Keeping, Dulaney Birdhouses and Save A Horse. Local artisans, farmers and craft makers interested in selling their goods are invited to register at TSCeventpartners.com or by visiting the local store before May 15. Elizabeth and Monongahela chapters of The Mary and Martha Joy Fellowship of Come Together in Jesus Name will hold a joint Special Day Apart at New Hope Assembly of God located at 900 Peairs Road, Elizabeth, May 18. There will be refreshments and fellowship at 9:30 a.m. with the meeting starting at 10 a.m. Reservations costing $13 are necessary for a catered buffet lunch, which will be followed by an afternoon session at 1 p.m. Reservations must be received no later than May 13.
