Jonathan Flickinger Give Heart Recognition held

The second annual Jonathan Flickinger Giving Heart Recognition was held May 1 at Washington & Jefferson College. The college and the Tom Flickinger family established the recognition in honor of their son, Jonathan, 34, a W&J alumni who was killed in an auto accident Dec. 28, 2017, leaving behind his wife, Jenna, 3-year-old daughter Lydia, and newborn son Isaiah. His family established the fund in his honor to annually recognize W&J students who emulate his giving heart. This year, Sarah Dodd, a senior at the college, was the recipient of $750 that she donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Elizabeth Boyles received $250, which she donated to Melanoma Research Alliance, and Robert Craig received $100, which he donated to The Brain Aneurysm Foundation. Gifts may be made by credit card to the Jonathan Flickinger Giving Heart Fund via the foundation’s website at https://www.wccf.net/for-donors/list-of-funds/jonathan-flickinger-giving-heart-fund. Checks may be made payable to “Washington County Community Foundation” and note the fund name on the memo line. The foundation’s mailing address is P.O. Box 308, 1253 Route 519, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
