A spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be held to benefit Trinity School District police force and school safety initiatives from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at the American Legion post, 168 Park Ave., Washington. Pasta, which is being provided by Angelo’s Restaurant, will be served by Trinity teachers, police, Trinity Middle School Student Council, Trinity PFCs and principals. Advance tickets, which includes dinner and a drank, are $10 for adults; $6 for kids/students. Children under 2 are free. Take-out is available. A Chinese auction and 50/50 drawing will be offered. The Italian-American Cultural and Heritage Society of Washington County will honor George T. DeVille, senior parochial vicar of Holy Rosary Parish in Muse, with the distinguished citizen award for 2019. Each year the society honors outstanding individuals who have not only excelled professionally but have also demonstrated extraordinary commitment to help others through volunteer efforts and community service. A bus tour featuring sites from the Whiskey Rebellion will be held Sunday, May 19. Beginning at 9 a.m., Rob Windhorst, longtime director of Woodville Plantation, will tell stories as riders relax on a luxury tour bus that will take participants from the Bradford House to Woodville Plantation and on to the Oliver Miller Homestead. The first-of-its-kind tour includes a morning 18th-century snack and an afternoon buffet lunch.
