Holiday parade canceled because of pandemic

The WPXI 2020 Holiday Parade was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pittsburgh television station announced Monday.

This year would have marked the 40th anniversary of the annual event. If it had gone ahead as scheduled, the parade would have happened Nov. 28.

WPXI is planning to air a 40th anniversary parade retrospective later this year.
