Avella FFA team members wins individual knowledge contest

The annual Washington County FFA Knowledge Contest was held at Trinity High School jan. 24. Twenty-one members from Avella, Fort Cherry, McGuffey and Trinity FFA chapters competed in the contest.

Avella FFA chapter member Rebecca Ocker won first place individual. HG Parkinson FFA Chapter at Fort Cherry High School member Lacey Vermeulen, McGuffey FFA chapter members Stephanie Mounts and Hannah Brownlee tied for second place individual. Avella FFA chapter member Hailey Waggett won the third-place individual.

Members answered questions on FFA history, FFA officers and FFA trivia on a written test.
