August was a tough month financially at the Meadows Racetrack & Casino.

The gaming facility in North Strabane Township posted year-over-year losses of 25% or greater in all major categories.

Total revenue there declined 28.52%, from $20,897,146 to $15,354,159. Slots fell 33.76% ($17,657,321 in August 2019 to $11,696.288). And table games revenue plunged 27.64% ($3,239,825 to $2,344.349).

Sports wagering at The Meadows resulted in $88,248,545 in total handle; $157,006 in retail revenue; and $1,156,515 in online revenue; and $1,313,522 in total revenue.

:  Figures released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board show total gaming and fantasy contests revenue generated in the Commonwealth during August 2020 was $310,717,728 which represents an increase of almost 6% over revenue generated in August 2019 of $293,434,087.

Sources of gaming revenue regulated by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board include slot machines, table games, internet gaming, retail and internet sports wagering, fantasy contests and video gaming terminals (VGTs). The Board has posted separate reports for these types of gaming on its website, https://gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov/.
