Resonance Works announces “The Phenomenal Woman,” “Rigoletto” to close ninth season

Two productions will be closing the ninth season of the performing arts organization Resonance Works.
Soprano Takesha Meshe Kizart Thomas will give a solo recital, “The Phenomenal Woman,” dedicated to women artists who shaped the 20th century on Saturday, April 30 at 7 p.m. at the Mellon Institute Auditorium in Oakland. It will honor such artists as Jessye Norman, Ella Fitzgerald and Leontyne Price.
Then, Resonance Works is presenting a reimagined version of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera “Rigoletto” set in 1930s Hollywood at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 20 and 3 p.m. Sunday, May 22 at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library and Music Hall in Carnegie.
