A chicken and biscuit dinner will be held at the Jefferson UMC Community Center, 190 Washington St. Jefferson, on Nov. 3 from 4-6 p.m. The suggested donation is $12 for adults and $8 for kids 10 and under. The menu includes chicken and biscuits, mashed potatoes, vegetables, dessert and a beverage.

Giant Oaks Winery, at 3540 Washington Ave. in Finleyville, will host a holiday craft fair noon to 5 p.m. on Nov. 4. The free holiday craft and vendor fair will feature regional artisans and crafters selling their one-of-a-kind goods, handcrafted products and holiday gifts. Roscoe Sportsmen’s Association, 1069 Sloan Ave., Coal Center, will host a Veterans Appreciation Day Nov. 4. Veterans eat free. Guests are welcome. Claysville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary is seeking new volunteers. There will be an open house at the fire hall on Nov. 5, 2-4 p.m., to meet the current members. Learn how the auxiliary supports the fire department and the community. Refreshments will be provided.
