The Carmichaels Area Women’s Civic Club recently announced the December Girl of the Month awardee, a Carmichaels Area High School senior.

Grace Maskil is the daughter of Jack and Erika Maskil. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Students in Action and Newspaper Club, as well as the secretary of the Senior Standing Committee and a member of the band and drum major for the marching band. Outside of school, Maskil enjoys skateboarding, writing, singing, volunteering and spending time with her friends. Maskil is also a waitress at DJ’s Diner. She plans to attend West Virginia University or the University of Pittsburgh and major in neuropsychology.
