Save room for the toasted almond torte!
Jacksons Restaurant + Bar is ringing in 2019 with its full dinner menu, plus a Dinner for Two option: it includes a choice of salad or soup, two filet and crab or lobster entrees and a shared dessert. The price is $95 for the crab option and $105 for the lobster option. Other options include the Berkshire pork chop (pictured above) with bacon jam glaze, Yukon mashed potatoes and fried Brussels sprouts; butternut squash ravioli with brown butter, fresh sage and applejack brandy; and of course, Jacksons’ famous crab cakes with a Kataifi crust. Wash it down with a cranberry pomegranate Moscow mule or a celebratory Champagne. Additionally, the Hilton Garden Inn, adjacent to Jacksons Restaurant, is offering a Celebration Package for guests who would like to make a night of it. Ingredients:
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 poblano pepper, diced
2 Idaho baking potatoes, diced
1 large red onion, diced
Cooked, plain macaroni and cheese
1 beef steakburger, crumbled
Four slices cooked bacon
1 egg, sunny side up
Directions:
1. Saute potatoes and peppers, set aside.
2. Saute onion, add to potato and pepper mixture.
3. Build the plate: start with the potato, pepper and onion mixture.
4. Top with macaroni and cheese, beef steakburger, bacon and finally, the egg.
5. Garnish with fresh cracked pepper and serve hot sauce on the side.
