Greensboro man’s body pulled from Monongahela River

State police are investigating after the body of a man was pulled from the Monongahela River Thursday evening.

Police identified the man as Larry Christopher Greene, 50, of Greensboro.

According to police, Greene was found floating in the river near South Main Street and Home Street in Point Marion.

Fayette County Deputy Coroner Olivia Kondrla declared Greene dead at the scene. His cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.

The criminal investigation unit of Uniontown state police is investigating Greene’s death.
