SOMERSET (AP) – State police in western Pennsylvania are searching for suspects who they say took more than $2,000 worth of various items from a local church.

Investigators said the burglary happened at Samuels Lutheran Church in Somerset between 9 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.

They were able to get away with a number of items from inside the church, including a pair of solid brass candle holders, two solid brass crosses, a dehumidifier and a gallon of Communion wine.

Pastor William Osman said he was contacted by a florist delivering flowers to the church who noticed something wrong.

Osman said he arrived at the church with state police. He said it looked like the burglars went through all the cabinets searching for money.

Somerset is about 60 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
