Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Appearing before Judge John DiSalle were:

John Carter, 36, of 801 McKean Ave., Charleroi; possession of Opana, possession of drug paraphernalia; charged March 20 at his home; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Adam J. Cox, 28, of 242 Headley Road, Washington; first driving under the influence offense, criminal trespass, unauthorized use of a vehicle; charged April 11 for DUI following a traffic stop on Headley Road in Amwell Township with a 0.093 blood-alcohol content, and on July 13 at 42 Mowl Road, Amwell Township; sentence – 5 to 23 months in jail, $300 fine, 25 hours of community service, drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, driver’s license suspension.

Matthew R. Thompson, 22, of 6044 Irishtown Road, Bethel Park; theft from a motor vehicle; charged Aug. 8, 2011, in Peters Township; sentence – 3 to 12 months in jail.

George R. Gereshenski Jr., 27, of 615 Meadow Ave., Charleroi; possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license; charged June 29 outside the Cougar Mini Mart in Charleroi; sentence – 23 months of probation with the first 30 days on electronic home monitoring, $1,000 fine.

Timothy L. Bassich, 51, of 407 Old West Road, Bentleyville; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged May 21 at 117 S. Pine St., Ellsworth; placed in the Probation Without Verdict program for 12 months.

Nicole L. Yoho, 25, of 943 Maple Lane, Sisterville, W.Va.; theft; charged Oct. 31, 2011, for stealing items from 123 Bower Hill Road, Peters Township; sentence – 5 years of probation.

James R. Moran, 31, of 39 Sycamore St., Muse; two counts of theft, first DUI offense, possession of heroin, driving with a suspended license; charged April 27 with DUI and possession on Demar Boulevard in North Strabane Township, testing positive for drugs, on May 20 for stealing a tool bag from Myzak Hydraulics in Canonsburg, and on June 25 for stealing a bottle full of coins at 3599 Millers Run Road, Cecil Township; sentence – 72 hours to 18 months in jail, $1,200 in fines, drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, driver’s license suspension.
