Woman injured: Michele Wilson, 56, of Carnegie, was injured Monday morning when she was ejected from her vehicle after it hit an embankment off Interstate 79 south near the Southpointe exit, Cecil, state police said. She was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment.
Two face charges: Benjamin R. Giles, 28, and Brooke A. Faust, 26, both of Washington, face charges stemming from an incident about 11:30 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 79 near the Southpointe exit, Cecil. State police said Giles was driving south when his vehicle hit a guardrail. He exited at Southpointe but his vehicle broke down. Faust and her 4-year-old daughter, who were passengers in the vehicle, went to Hilton Garden Inn but then fled when police came there looking for her, police said. State and Cecil police found Faust and the girl after a two-hour search in the Southpointe area. The girl was taken into custody by Washington Children and Youth Services. Charges are pending against Faust, who police say was highly intoxicated. Police are continuing their investigation. Giles will be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and endangering the welfare of children.
Four-vehicle accident: One driver was injured in a four-vehicle accident in the 4000 block of Washington Road, McMurray, at 6:47 p.m. Monday, township police said. Police said three vehicles were stopped northbound for a traffic signal when a vehicle driven by Marissa Marie Chirumbolo, 18, of 23 Chirumbolo Lane, McMurray, was unable to stop and struck the rear of a vehicle operated by Meredith Rose, 40, of 2245 Glenn Dale Drive, Upper St. Clair. The impact forced Rose’s vehicle in to the rear of a vehicle driven by Fred J. Zaganiacz, 67, of 2339 Lambeth Drive, Upper St. Clair, which then hit a stopped vehicle operated by Amy Beth Marcini, 40, of 1411 Eagle Point Drive, Canonsburg, police said. Chirumbolo complained of an injury and was taken to Canonsburg General Hospital for treatment. No other driver complained of injuries, police said.
Woman cited: Lisa Potts, 48, of Upper St. Clair, will be cited with trespass by a motor vehicle and criminal mischief after an incident late Monday into Tuesday on the golf course of Valley Brook Country Club, township police said. Potts was discovered covered in mud and with her vehicle struck in a creek bed at 7:19 a.m. Tuesday, police said. She told police she went to the golf course about 7 p.m. Monday to walk her dogs, one of which became lost. She stayed on the golf course all night but told police she does not know why she drove on the course.
One injured: Nckisha Cochran, 21, of 108 Gibson Ave., Washington, complained of face pain following a two-vehicle accident at 5:13 p.m. Monday. She was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. The other driver, Gregory Charles Connell, 2783 Locust Drive, Upper St. Clair, told police he was on Spring Meadow Drive crossing East McMurray Road to Hays Road when he pulled into the path of Cochran’s vehicle that was westbound on East McMurray Road. Connell was not injured.
Harassment charges: Justin Pikutis, 31, of 105 Deer Path Lane, Finleyville, was charged by Southwest Regional police with terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and harassment Nov. 23 after he was found outside his home screaming and banging on the door and threatening to kill everyone inside the house if they did not let him in. Charges were filed with District Judge James Ellis.
Vehicle stolen: Stacy Harding of 91 Main St., Hickory, told Washington police Sunday her 1996 Mercury Mountaineer was stolen from the 600 block of North Main Street. She had left the vehicle for repairs. The vehicle was later found in Pittsburgh.
Man charged: Dionision Aguilar Patriarca, 67, of 590 Broad St., was arraigned Tuesday by District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of aggravated indecent assault of a child, corruption of minors, endangering the welfare of children and indecent assault of a child for an inappropriate relationship with a girl that took place over a five-year period starting when she was 6 years old. Patriarca’s preliminary hearing will be on Dec. 18.
Gun missing: Ruth Buterbaugh, 82, of 830 South Main St., told city police her late husband’s .40 caliber Beretta handgun was missing. She had last seen the firearm in April 2010.
House burglarized: Joseph Crawford, 2404 Beallsville Road, West Bethlehem, told state police Monday that his home was burglarized. The burglar forced open a locked bedroom door and stole a safe and lockbox containing jewelry, rare coins and state inspection stickers.
