Man missing: State police are looking for an Amity man who went missing Friday night. Dennis R. Kerr, 53, of Horne Run Road, did not return home after leaving a friend’s residence in the 300 block of Weir Cole Road in Amwell Township 11:30 Friday, according to police. Police said Kerr suffers from dementia and has been without his medication since Friday. Kerr is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, wighs 150 pounds and has brown hair and eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a red and black Dale Earnhardt sweatshirt, a Pittsburgh Steelers hat and hiking boots. Police said Kerr was driving his gold 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer, bearing Pennsylvania registration HNV-7350. Anyone with information about Kerr’s whereabouts is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200.
Two-car collision: Three Washington County men were taken to area hospitals by ambulance following a two-vehicle accident Friday on Racetrack Road in North Strabane Township. According to North Strabane Township police, 38-year-old Harry Cope of Bentleyville was traveling east on Racetrack Road about 4:30 p.m. Friday when his vehicle crossed over the grass median and collided head-on into a westbound vehicle driven by Ronnie Capo, 55, of Washington. Police said Cope and Capo’s passenger, Ron Evans, 47, of Washington, had to be extricated from the vehicles. Cope reportedly sustained multiple injuries and was transported to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Evans was taken to UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh for a fractured femur, tibia and hip, police said. Capo reportedly was treated for two fractures to his arm and released from Washington Hospital.
