One-car accident: A Wind Ridge woman was injured Dec. 1 when the car she was driving east on Route 21 near Golden Oaks Road crossed into the westbound lane, struck a mailbox and overturned. Police said Sheena Whitlatch, 20, was taken to Southwest Regional Medical Center for treatment following the 4 p.m. accident.

Criminal mischief: Charles Warren of Waynesburg told state police someone removed two locks from his barn along Hopewell Ridge Road between 5 p.m. Dec. 6 and 10 a.m. Dec. 7.

Harassment citation: State police said Eric Carter, 39, of Dilliner, will be issued a citation for harassment for allegedly striking Lisa Renee Sanders, 41, also of Dilliner, in the face while they were drinking at 286 Pigeon Hole Road at 3 a.m. Saturday.

Phone theft: Kristen Dawn Schemeley of Waynesburg told state police she apparently dropped her BlackBerry cellphone on the sidewalk near Bucktown Beer at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 6 and discovered the phone was missing when she arrived back at her residence. Schemeley said she called her cell number, and a male answered the phone.

Two-vehicle collision: State police reported vehicles driven by Thomas Utke Jr., 32, of Sycamore, and Robert Dispenza, 53, of Waynesburg, collided on Route 19 just north of Morris Street at 5:44 p.m. Dec. 6. Police said Utke was traveling south on Route 19 and he failed to negotiate a curve and his vehicle traveled into the northbound lane and struck Dispenza’s vehicle. Utke as taken to Southwest Regional Medical Center with a head injury, and Mary Dispenza, 55, a passenger in Robert Dispenza’s vehicle, was transported to SWRMC with a leg injury. Police said Utke was cited for reckless driving and not having a valid driver’s license.

Domestic dispute: State police said Daren Kyle MacCartney, 24, of Castile Run Road, Waynesburg, was charged with simple assault following a dispute with his wife, Stephanie MacCartney, 34, at their home at 11:53 p.m. Sunday. Police said MacCartney pushed his wife and she fell backward, striking her head on their child’s dresser. MacCartney was arraigned before District Judge Lee Watson and placed in the Greene County jail in lieu of $7,500 bond.

Vehicle overturns: State police said a vehicle driven by Mathew Drainer, 22, of Lumberport, went out of control on the southbound lane of Interstate 79 because of wet road conditions, struck a guardrail and overturned. A passenger, Kaity Drainer, 7, was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va., for a possible eye injury. The driver and two other passengers were not injured.
