Boy hit by car released from hospital

A Bentleyville boy who was struck by a car Monday night on Lone Pine Road in West Bethlehem Township has been discharged from the hospital.

Tyler Dillon, 16, a sophomore at Bentworth High School, was struck by a car driven by Artie Speicher, 33, of Marianna about 12:30 a.m.

Police said Dillon was walking north when he was struck by Speicher, who was driving south. Dillon was thrown to the east side of the road.

He was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh. A media spokeswoman at the hospital said Tuesday that he had been discharged.
