Chartiers names new township manager
Chartiers Township supervisors named a new township manager Tuesday as part of a reorganization that will move the current manager to a new post at the beginning of the new year.
In a unanimous vote of the three supervisors, Jodi L. Noble was hire as township manager to be paid $60,000 a year, beginning Jan. 1.
The hiring will allow the township to name the current manager, Samuel Stockton, to a newly created position of community development coordinator. He also will be paid $60,000 a year, supervising Chairman Richard W. Metzler said.
Stockton will be assigned to develop a new comprehensive plan for the township, determine which local ordinances need to be updated and ensure different township committees work better together, Metzler said.
He said Noble worked nearly a decade as an assistant manager of Moon Township and, for the past three years, as a municipal planning consultant. She also has a background in financial planning and employee contract negotiations, Metzler added.
She did not attend the supervisors’ meeting Tuesday.
