Missing teen: Ruth Phillips of 150 Oak Springs Road reported 17-year-old Kendra Michelle McCoy missing Sunday afternoon. Phillips reported to police she last saw McCoy at 10 a.m. Police did not list their relationship in a report.

Hit-and-run case: Charges were filed against Amber Federchak, 24, of 212 McShane Ave., after police said the vehicle she was driving struck two parked cars and fled Sunday morning. A witness told police he saw Federchak leave the area and walk toward her home. When police arrived, they said they could see Federchak peering out an upstairs window, but she would not open the door. Fearing someone might have been injured in her vehicle, police forced open the door. According to police, Federchack admitted drinking earlier but said she drove home and parked her vehicle out front. Police showed her there was no vehicle in front of her home, and a witness identified her as the woman who fled the accident scene. Police charged her with driving while intoxicated and said they also found a marijuana cigarette in the vehicle. Police said the accident caused major damage to a vehicle owned by William E. Patmon of 105 Richland Ave. and minor damage to one owned by Vinziller Nichols at 109 Richland Ave.

Disorderly charge: Albert Johnson, 33, no address given, was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct after police received a report of a man going door-to-door on South Central Avenue Saturday morning. Johnson told police he had been visiting a friend and drank a fifth of vodka before being kicked out of the residence. He was treated at Canonsburg General Hospital for an injury he received earlier in the day and then placed in the Washington County jail on an outstanding warrant.

Vandalism: A change machine and the wall around it at Canon Coin Laundry, 407 S. Central Ave., were damaged Thursday or Friday.

Jailed in break-in: Michael Britton, 20, of Daisytown, was charged by police with assault Sunday morning. Police said Britton forced his way into 523 East Alley and assaulted Zachary Bolland, Christina Beck and two juveniles. He was taken into custody after allegedly leading police on a short foot chase. He was arraigned before Distrct Judge Mark Wilson on charges of burglary, simple assault, harassment and underage drinking and was jailed on $10,000 bond.

Driver charged: State police said Dawn M. Johnson, 42, of Vestaburg, was charged with driving while intoxicated after a vehicle she was driving ran off Welch Hill Road at a high speed and struck a fence Thursday night.

Five hurt in wreck: Five people, including three children, suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Racetrack Road Sunday. Police said a vehicle driven by Benjamin Harris of 722 1/2 McClane Road collided with a vehicle driven by Robert N. Scouten of 418 Locust Ave., Houston. The three children were passengers in Scouten’s vehicle.

Mischief charge: Toby McCann, 39, of Washington was charged with criminal mischief by state police after he allegedly smashed the windshield and headlight and flattened three tires on a vehicle owned by Kevin Cowden of Westland Sunday morning.

Bag stolen: A duffel bag containing clothes, keys and a cellphone was reported stolen from 1200 Washington Road Sunday afternoon. William Ferrabee of Sunnyville, W.Va., said the items were placed under a flatbed trailer in the morning for him to pick up, but when he got there, they were gone.

Pair charged: Jessica Gregg, 27, and Justin Barfield, 29, were charged with simple assault following a dispute at 147 Brookside Ave. Sunday morning. Police said Gregg had a bloody face when they arrived at the home. Gregg said she and Barfield had been at a party and began arguing when they arrived home. She allegedly punched him in the face while he was lying on the couch, and he allegedly got up and punched her in the face. Charges were filed at District Judge Robert Redlinger’s office.

Prowling charges: Zachery Maier, 29, of 459 Malone Ridge Road, and Freddie E. Kimbrow, 28, of 44 Spruce St., were charged with disorderly conduct, loitering and prowling after they allegedly were seen going through vehicles on South Main Street Dec. 8.

Endangerment charge: Charges of recklessly endangering another person and criminal mischief were filed against Ledean M. Williams Sr., 32, of 68 Sumner Ave. Monday after police said he broke out a rear passenger window, smashed the windshield and dented a car owned by Leah Cox. Cox told police she had gone to Williams’ home to pick up her son when she argued with Williams. Police said there were three children in the car as Williams was damaging it.

False ID charge: Curtis A. Gardner, 44, of 159 Church St., was charged with providing false identification to police Friday after they said they observed him failing to stop for a stop sign at Walnut Street and Hall Avenue.

Robbery reported: Joseph Garlisi of 109 W. Walnut St. was robbed as he was walking home Sunday morning. Police said they intend to file charges against Samuel Wheeler of 235 W. Chestnut St., Apt. 409, for stealing Garlisi’s cellphone and keys, and for breaking his glasses.

Disorderly charge: Alicia Edwards, 19, who police listed as homeless, was cited for disorderly conduct early Sunday morning after allegedly yelling and pounding on a door at 705 Broad St. for a second time. As police tried to get her to stop, she reportedly yelled an obscenity at them and then spit on one officer as he attempted to handcuff her.

Saw stolen: Scott McClenathan of 28 Sharp Ave. reported Saturday his garage was entered and a chainsaw was stolen. Police believe a pry bar was used to break the garage’s lock.

Gun stolen: Brandon Wright of 705 Broad St. No. 1 reported the theft of a handgun from his home between Wednesday and Friday.

Drug charge: Michael Crue of 744 Buena Vista St. was charged with drug possession after police spotted him walking in the 600 block of Broad Street Sunday. Knowing Crue was wanted on an outstanding warrant, they stopped and said they found him hiding on a nearby porch. Police said he had cocaine hidden in a boot.

Burglary attempt: An attempted burglary at Lombardi Coin Laundry, 120 Highland Ave., was reported Saturday to police. Police said a change machine was damaged and a video surveillance camera showed a man trying to break into the change machine about 9 p.m.
