PITTSBURGH – Residents in some parts of Pennsylvania got a bit of a white Christmas, but forecasters are warning that they may be seeing a good deal more snow soon.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for much of Western and northern Pennsylvania, including Washington and Greene counties, beginning today, saying some areas could see two to three inches of snow fall in an hour.

Forecasters said Erie and Crawford counties could get 10 to 14 inches of snow, with four to 10 inches possible elsewhere in Western Pennsylvania. Areas of northern Pennsylvania such as Bradford, Susquehanna and Wyoming counties could receive eight to 12 inches. Parts of northeastern Pennsylvania and the Poconos may get five to eight inches of snow. A winter storm watch is in effect for other areas.
