School disturbance: An unnamed California Area High School student and his guardian, Camille Brigden, 42, of 23 Horseshoe Drive, Roscoe, have been cited for disorderly conduct by borough police following a Dec. 21 outburst at the school. Police said the disturbance stemmed from the boy being kicked out of a dodgeball tournament and using obscene language toward a teacher. Brigden then allegedly caused a disturbance in the high school office, police said.

Woman assaulted: Patrick L. Thurston, 47, of 140 W. College St., Canonsburg, is charged by borough police with simple assault over accusations he threw an ashtray about 8 p.m. Sunday at his live-in girlfriend, Shawnta Davis, at their residence. Davis told police he also grabbed her around the throat and dragged her outside, court records show. Thurston is in the Washington County jail on $1,000 bond set by District Judge David Mark.

Warrant served: Timothy E. Rossell, 25, of Fredericktown, was arrested Saturday on three outstanding warrants charging him with theft, impersonating a public servant, receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, court records show. East Beth Township police accuse him of selling a car he didn’t own to a Moundsville, W.Va., couple for $1,500 April 23, 2011. Township police also filed charges against Rossell May 24, 2011, accusing him of posing as a state constable while dressed in such a uniform to purchase a vehicle from Robert Cunningham and taking possession of it without paying for it in full, the record shows. Then, May 30, 2011, he allegedly took possession of a vehicle registration plate from a notary in Millsboro without paying for it, police stated in the affidavit. He is free on $15,000 bond set by District Judge Valarie Costanzo.

Theft case: James Gray, 35, of Moundsville, W.Va., is charged by South Strabane Township police with retail theft, trespassing, possession of synthetic marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police said Gray was apprehended Wednesday while attempting to steal a snowblower from a Walmart in Trinity Point. He is in the Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Jay Weller.

Pills stolen: Brandon Barnicle, 28, of Smithfield, told police Friday prescription pills were stolen from his jacket pocket when he was eating dinner at the Washington City Mission, 84 W. Wheeling St.

Robbery reported: Robert Snyder, 53, no address given, told police Monday he was knocked unconscious and his wallet was stolen at Ridge Avenue and Erie Street.

Theft from vehicle: Matt Miklic, 29, of 276 Terrace Ave., told police Sunday that prescription medication was stolen from his vehicle

Criminal mischief: Cortney Barlow, 19, of 1174 Maple Terrace, told police a white woman who was wearing a black coat and white shirt broke windows at her residence Sunday. Barlow said she was sitting in her living room when she heard the outer pane of a window break. She looked outside and saw the woman stumbling around. Barlow confronted the suspect, and she then allegedly displayed a butcher knife. After Barlow ran back inside her residence, the woman punctured her door with the knife. The woman then broke another window and ran off.
