Theft reports: William Painter, 47, of 203 Johnston St., Bentleyville, told Southwest Regional police Wednesday two Toro lawn mowers, a train set and several jackets and pairs of gloves that were to be Christmas gifts were stolen from his residence. Angela Gallagher of Cokeburg told Southwest Regional police Thursday a laptop computer was stolen a day earlier from her property at 11 Ames St. in Bentleyville.

Burglary arrests: Ronald A. Patterson, 54, of 605 Ewing St., Washington, and Ricky Wright, 54, of 19 Euclid Ave., Washington, are charged by state police with burglary, theft and trespassing, court records show. Police accuse them of breaking into a shed behind the Pizza Hut at 1255 Chestnut St. about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday to steal an extension cord valued at $25 and two bottles of disinfectant worth $10, the arrest affidavit indicates. Both are in the Washington County jail on $6,000 bond set by District Judge Curtis Thompson.

One-vehicle accident: State police said a vehicle driven by Amber Jo Furmanek, 18, of West Finley, went out of control on Enon Church Road at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday and struck and embankment and rolled onto its left side. Furmanek was wearing a seat belt and was not injured, police said.
