Two injured: Bristille Ann Henderson, 19, of Claysville, and Laurel R. Richmond, 18, of Washington, were treated and released from UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pitsburgh after they were taken there by emergency helicopter for treatment of injuries they suffered in a one-vehicle accident at McCrerey and Kinder roads at 7:15 p.m. Friday. According to state police, the accident occurred when Henderson lost control of her vehicle on a sharp left curve and the vehicle slid into a snowy embankement, causing minor damage to the front passenger side. A 17-year-old unidentified passenger in the vehicle was taken to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC for treatment, police said. The teen’s condition was not available.
Criminal mischief: Deborah Ann Lojak, 53, of 302 Route 917, reported to state police a window on her home was damaged with a snow shovel between 4 and 11:57 p.m. Thursday.
Couple injured: A Virginia couple was injured just after noon Friday in a one-vehicle accident on Finley Drive. State police said Charles A. Crews Jr., 51, and Neva C. Crews, 49, both of Virginia Beach, were taken to Washington Hospital following the crash that occurred when their vehicle, driven by Charles Crews, went off the side of the snow and ice covered road, struck a ditch, and overturned. A hospital spokesman said there was no information on the couple. Three passengers, ages 10, 4 and 2, were not injured in the accident, state police said.
