BENTLEYVILLE Handgun stolen: Alexander David Johnston, 50, of Groveton, N.H., told state police Sunday that his .45-caliber Colt semi-automatic handgun was stolen from 721 Main St., Bentleyville. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-929-6262.

CANONSBURG Car stolen, recovered: Kevin Trybend of 1000 Fourth St., Canonsburg, told Canonsburg police Monday night that he went inside the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, West Pike Street, and left the keys in his unlocked 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier. When he left the bar, he discovered the car had been stolen. Surveillance video captured a man wearing a white hat, neon green construction shirt, tan shorts and white shoes walk around the car, get in and drive off. The car was found Tuesday morning near the intersection of North Main Street and Wylie Avenue by Chartiers Township police.

Tires cut: Nicole Randall of 214 E. College St. told Canonsburg police Monday that two tires were cut on the passenger side of her car.

Vehicles damaged: Cleo George of 814 Short St. and Karla Embery of 816 Short told Canonsburg police Monday that their vehicles were damaged by vandals.

CANTON Home burgled: Donald and Mary Oatman of 610 McKee Road, Canton, told state police July 5 that a .32-caliber handgun, jewelry and $50 were stolen in a burglary of their home.

Motorized bike stolen: Steve Beck of 1557 Weirich Ave., Canton, told state police Monday that a battery-motorized mountain bicycle was stolen from outside his home. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call Trooper Nathan Brown at 724-223-5200.

CECIL Quad stolen: Carl Behling Jr. of Mayview Road reported a quad stolen from a barn July 10 or 11, township police said. The quad is owned by Carl Behling Sr., and the theft was reported at 1 p.m. July 12, police said. The quad is a green Polaris Sportsman with a winch on the front and 4X4 on the side. The quad is valued at about $2,000, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-743-0940.

CLAYSVILLE Ring stolen: Robert Virgili of Carmichaels told state police Thursday that a diamond ring was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at 220 McClain St., Claysville.

CHARLEROI Man jailed: William N. Sezawich, 33, of 513 Washington Ave., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi regional police with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, court records show. Sezawich is accused of fleeing a basement at 724 Fallowfield Ave. when police went there about 7 a.m. Tuesday with a state constable to serve him with an arrest warrant, an affidavit indicates. Police deployed a Taser to apprehend him following a foot chase. He is in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

CHARTIERS Machines damaged: Two sweepers along with coin boxes were damaged Saturday at Meadow Lands Car Wash, Country Club Road, Chartiers police said. Surveillance video caught a suspect using a saw to cut a lock on a box. The owner estimated damage at $1,000. Ten dollars in coins also was stolen.

iPod stolen: Rebecca Myzika of 570 W. Pike St., Apt. B, told Chartiers police Friday that her iPod was stolen from her apartment.

Breaker box stolen: A breaker box for water pumps and lights, along with lights, were reported stolen Friday from the entrance to Arden Villas, North Main Street Extension, Chartiers police said.

DONORA Metal theft: Michael Mordecki, 30, of 43 N. Monessen St., Monongahela, is charged by borough police with theft and receiving stolen property, accused of stealing bronze valued at $4,379 June 18 from his employer, A1 Babbitt Co. at 1122 Scott St. Extension, and then selling it for scrap to Webster Metals in Webster, court records show. He is in Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond set Monday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

FALLOWFIELD Jewelry stolen: Donna Marie Bavuso of Cedar Way, Fallowfield, told state police Monday that jewelry was stolen in a burglary of her home. Neighbors reported seeing a man in a silver Ford Taurus at the home. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-6262.

SOUTH FAYETTE Break-ins: Township police are urging residents on Woodcreek Drive and Maple Court to lock vehicles parked outside and to park inside whenever possible. A series of break-ins of unlocked vehicles was reported Tuesday.

SOUTH STRABANE Woman injured: Karen Lockoski, 54, of 720 Duncan Ave., Washington, was injured July 11 when her vehicle crashed into a utility pole on Humbert Lane near Washington High School field, South Strabane police said. She suffered a medical issue prior to the crash. She was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.

WASHINGTON Harassment reported: Deborah Bromwell of 1163 Maple Terrace told police July 11 that she had been receiving harassing text messages from her cousin, Dale Daft of 337 Overbrook Blvd., Pittsburgh. According to Bromwell, she received an image of a penis from Daft April 8, but he later texted an apology, saying it had been sent by mistake. But then Daft allegedly began sending vulgar messages to Bromwell, accusing her of molesting him when he was a child, along with images of a hand displaying a middle finger. Charges are being sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
