CANONSBURG Tires flattened: Melanie Broker, 539 Blaine Ave., told Canonsburg police Tuesday that three tires on her vehicle were flattened. She also told police that her wallet was stolen from her home.
CANTON Man jailed: Gerald L. Vitteck, 48, of 7 Caldwell Ave., Canton, was charged by state police with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, court records show. Police accuse him of twice throwing a shovel at Rebecca J. Vitteck without striking her about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday outside his residence. He also is accused of striking her car twice with the shovel. He is in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
CHARLEROI Woman assaulted: Donald Payne, 24, of 611 Division St., Monessen, is charged by borough police with simple assault and harassment, accused of striking and scratching Jaime Santiago about 12:45 a.m. Wednesday at 510 Washington Ave., court records show. He is in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
CHARTIERS Flashes motorists: Thomas Michael Puchtler, 57, of 59 LeMoyne Ave., Washington, was charged with disorderly conduct by Chartiers police. He is accused of dropping his shorts to passing motorists on Route 18 Tuesday afternoon.
McDONALD Woman jailed: Nancy J. Borella, 48, of 865 Candor Road, Bulger, is charged by borough police with child endangerment, simple assault and harassment, court records indicate. She is accused of scratching a 12-year-old boy in her care and ripping his shirt during a struggle over a cellphone, police stated in the affidavit. She is in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
MONONGAHELA Identity theft: Jacqueline A. Sento, 46, of 126 Liberty St., Fayette City, is charged by Monongahela police with two counts each of identity theft and harassment, court records show. Police accuse her of filling out a credit card application June 7, using the names of Dean and Jenny Santo of Monongahela. She is free on $5,000 set Tuesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Man jailed: James M. Large Jr., 19, of 1319 Corrin Ave., Monongahela, is charged by city police with theft, receiving stolen property and causing damage to unattended property, accused of striking a row of parked vehicles while driving a car stolen from Catherine Buchanan of Monongahela, court records show. Police were able to get a description of Large after he fled the scene of the accident about 1:10 a.m. July 3, the affidavit indicates. He is in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond set Tuesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.
