Burglary charge, arrest: A Waynesburg man was arrested and charged with entering a neighbor’s home and stealing about 25 Playstation video games. Jon Michael Berryman, 21, of Lot 19, Reesman’s Mobile Home Park, was charged by state police with burglary and theft. Berryman was arraigned before District Judge Glen Bates and faces a preliminary hearing Wednesday. Police said they were called Wednesday to the home of Philip Rogers for a burglary. Rogers has a video surveillance system and he indicated the video showed Berryman was the person who had entered his residence. Berryman later admitted he entered Rogers’ home and stole the games, which he sold for heroin, police said.
Criminal mischief: James Woodring of 195 School Drive, Waynesburg, reported to police four tires on his truck were flattened between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday while it was parked in a lot on South College Street.
