Brakes damaged: Sara Edwards of 408 Main St., Bentleyville, told Southwest Regional police Tuesday she came out of her home to find the passenger side door on her car open. When she drove her vehicle, she discovered the brakes were not working. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.

Woman jailed: Kelly J. Walker, 36, of 579 Highland Ave., North Charleroi, is charged by township police with felony retail theft and receiving stolen property, accused of stealing $25 worth of merchandise about 11:40 a.m. Oct. 2 from Fisher Heights Giant Eagle, court records show. She is in the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond after being arrested on a warrant and arraigned Thursday before District Judge Mark Wilson.

Jailed in assault: Jamie Rump, 34, of 1209 Chess St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, accused of causing a minor injury with a pocketknife to his girlfriend’s wrist when she tried to stop him from cutting the phone lines to their residence about 1:40 p.m. Oct. 14, court records show. Rump is in the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond after being arrested on a warrant and arraigned Thursday before District Judge Mark Wilson.

One injured: Cecilia Ann Zeszutek, 70, of 7 Pristine Place, Cecil, was injured Wednesday night when a sport utility vehicle driven by Jennie Marie Brancho, 17, of 122 Parklane Drive, Canonsburg, made a left turn into the path of her vehicle on Morganza Road at McClelland Road, North Strabane police said.

Cellphone missing: A student at Peters Township High School reported to police at 1:47 p.m. Wednesday her cellphone was missing from her backpack, township police said. The student said she saw the phone during sixth period. She noticed the pocket on her backpack was open, and she closed the pocket during seventh period. She found the phone was missing after ninth period, police said.

Drug arrest: Adontal D. Rainey, 24, of 44 Knox Ave., Monessen, is charged by Roscoe, Elco, Stockdale and Elco regional police with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Rainey is accused of possessing 8 grams of the drug and a small amount of marijuana when police responded to a protection-from-abuse complaint involving him about 7 p.m. Sept. 26 at 916 Furlong Ave., the affidavit indicates. He is in the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set Wednesday by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Warrant arrest: Jacob Allen Fonner, 28, whose last known address was 126 Fourth St., Waynesburg, was arrested on a warrant obtained by South Strabane police. He is charged with retail theft and criminal conspiracy for allegedly stealing an Xbox game system from The Game Stop, Trinity Point, Sept. 18. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.Theft charge: Andrew Ward, 49, of San Diego, Calif., will be charged by South Strabane police with theft of leased property for allegedly failing to return a silver 2011 Mazda he leased July 21 from Hertz Corp., 1 Raymond Boulevard. Company officials told police Wednesday he was to return the vehicle by Aug. 31. A certified letter sent to his last known address was returned unclaimed.

Theft arrest: Tammy Macherosky, 41, of 534 Springdale Road, North Strabane Township, was charged Thursday with theft by Southwest Regional police. She is accused of stealing $200 from Ashley Bajkowski of Finleyville Oct. 19 at Trax Farm, Route 88. Macherosky reportedly admitted to police she stole the money and surrendered the cash to an officer.Jewelry, guns stolen: Michael Muller of 6155 Route 88, Union, told Southwest Regional police Tuesday three gold wedding rings and two handguns were stolen from his home. There was no sign of forced entry. The rear door was found open. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.

Criminal mischief: James Woodring of 195 School Drive, Waynesburg, reported to city police all four tires on his truck were flattened between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday while it was parked in a lot in the 200 block of South College Street.
