State Department of Transportation to hold open house

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting/plans display for the Ginger Hill improvements project in Fallowfield, Nottingham and Carroll townships. The meeting will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Nottingham Township building, 909 Sugar Run Road, Eighty Four.PennDOT is considering options to improve the current intersections at Routes 136 and 917, Route 136 and Ginger Hill Road and Route 917 and Cracker Jack Road in the village of Ginger Hill. PennDOT has retained the consultant firm Traffic Planning and Design, Inc. to conduct the preliminary engineering design. The purpose of the meeting is to introduce the project, share the results of current plan development, provide an anticipated schedule, and gather public input related to the projects needs, alternatives and environmental and cultural resources. The meeting will be conducted in an open house format with an informal presentation from 5:15 to 5:30 p.m. Project team members and PennDOT officials will be on hand throughout the evening to address questions and concerns.
