Three drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs during a sobriety checkpoint Saturday night into Sunday by the McDonald, North Strabane and Peters Township police departments.

One person was charged with driving with a suspended license, while four citations were issued for expired inspection stickers and another for a non-working headlight. The checkpoint was conducted in McDonald Borough.
