A Pennsylvania Mega Millions lottery ticket sold in Midway last week is worth $250,000.
The prize winner has yet to come forward, said the manager of the Midway Mini Mart, who identified himself simply as “TJ.”
According to the Pennsylvania Lottery, the winning ticket sold Friday correctly matched all five white balls but not the yellow Mega ball.
The $250,000 prize is less 25 percent federal withholding.
Lottery officials cannot confirm the identity of the winner until the prize is claimed and the ticket is validated.
Customers entering the Mini Mart at 101 St. Johns St. Tuesday were asking the manager who had won, but even though Midway is a small town, he said he does not know.
A large check announcing that a winner had purchased the winning ticket at his business was placed in the front window.
Pennsylvania Lottery Mega Millions winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prize.
This is the first time a Mega Millions prize has been won at the Mini Mart.
The manager said the store has had one $21,000 winner on a $2 ticket, and several folks won prizes of $500 or $1,000.
The lottery jackpot of $32 million was won on one ticket sold in New York.
