Chamber group to host annual banquet

WAYNESBURG – The Waynesburg Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Membership Meeting and Banquet Nov. 17 in the Benedum Dining Hall at Waynesburg University.
The chamber is celebrating a successful year by hosting the banquet in connection with its Annual Distinguished Service Awards. Chosen for the individual award was Jeff McCracken. The Corner Cupboard Food Bank was selected as the organization winner. Charles “Joe” Behm also will be honored with a posthumous Distinguished Service Award.
Elissa McCracken, Miss Ohio 2012, who is a Waynesburg resident, will be present and will be recognized. Chamber members r marking 25-year anniversaries also will be honored.
The Chamber of Commerce serves the community in many ways throughout the year by sponsoring the annual Christmas Parade, the W.C.E.S. Career Day, the Greene County Business Expo, offering an educationalscholarship and by participating in local events.
It also works with the business community to bring valuable information and services to its members through meetings, newsletters and social gatherings. The annual banquet is an opportunity to thank and salute all the members of the community who make the Chamber of Commerce a viable and thriving organization.
You do not have to be a member of the chamber to attend the event. Tickets are $40 per person or $75 per couple and includes a choice of dinner entrees.
