Woman charged: Breigh Renee Devecka, 21, of Clarksville, was charged Thursday by California police with false reports and underage drinking stemming from a Sept. 22 incident. She told police that her car was stolen. Police said they later learned she drove the vehicle off California University of Pennsylvania property and struck cinder blocks. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

Heroin bust: Shawn McDavis, 24, of 258 St. Claire Ave., Clairton, is charged with possession of heroin with intent to deliver, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Charleroi Regional police said they found him in possession of 59 stamp bags of suspected heroin when they searched a residence at 812 Fallowfield Ave. about 5:20 a.m. Wednesday. McDavis is in Washington County Jail on $50,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Theft arrest: Delmar Pritchett, 23, of 109 First St., Monessen, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with theft and receiving stolen property, accused of stealing video gaming equipment about 12:20 p.m. March 23, 2009, from David Wyke of 317 Conrad Ave., North Charleroi, court records show. Arrested Thursday on a warrant, Pritchett is in Washington County Jail on $50,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Shot with crossbow: Ben Drilak of 200 Beachview St. was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital after accidentally shooting himself in the foot with his crossbow about 6:40 a.m. Thursday. Chartiers police said he was in a wooded area on power plant property near his home. Drilak was taken to Canonsburg General Hospital and then flown to Allegheny General Hospital. The state Game Commission is investigating.

Drugs, paraphernalia in school: A 15-year-old South Strabane boy will be charged by North Franklin police with possession of drugs, paraphernalia and disorderly conduct for allegedly bring a pipe and Adderall pill to school. The drug was prescribed for the boy but was not registered with the school. He told school officials and police that he was going to trade the pill for marijuana.

Theft charge: Tyler D. Warne, 18, of 394 W. Wylie Ave., Canton, was charged this week with theft by North Franklin police. He is accused of making fraudulent returns while working at Sears, Washington Crown Center, Saturday and stealing $253. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Vehicle entered: Township police have filed charges of receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy against: Shawn P. Duchi Sr., 33, of 666 Fayette St., Washington; Tiffany K. Huggins, 22, of 516 Eldersville Road, Burgettstown; and Nicole Lynn Allen, 24, of 300 Burton Ave., Washington, court records show. They were in a van stopped by South Strabane Township police about 7 p.m. Wednesday, and officers recovered from the vehicle a laptop stolen from another belonging to Rebekah Studt after it was parked about 3 p.m. at Washington Crown Center in North Franklin, the affidavit indicates. The passenger side window of her vehicle had been shattered in order to get inside, police said.

Pool damaged: Dave Fisher of 5077 Bowling Green St., Union, told Southwest Regional police Tuesday that vandals poked numerous holes on the bottom of his swimming pool. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.

Robbery suspect named: City police Thursday identified the suspect in a robbery a day earlier at a local Walgreens as Kenneth Schroeder, 30, of 420 E. Maiden St., Washington. Schroeder is facing charges of robbery and drug possession over allegations he robbed a clerk at the 99 Jefferson Ave. store of one prescription container each of oxycodone and Xanax while wearing a black scarf over his face about 8:35 p.m., police said. Police later found Schroeder stumbling outside his residence, and sent him to Washington Hospital after he became unconscious from an apparent overdose, police said.

Theft reports: Wallets were reported stolen from an employee lounge at Washington Hospital Tuesday from Melissa Cunko of Washington, Chelsey Snyder of Pittsburgh and John Jupin of Washington, city police said. Dana Anderson told city police her purse was stolen about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday when she left it unattended in a baby stroller outside her 25 Central Ave. residence.
