PITTSBURGH (AP) – Several people are hurt after a derailment on a Pittsburgh subway.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports the light-rail vehicle derailed in the subway shortly after 9 p.m. Friday. Firefighters said several stations had to be evacuated because of the accident.

One man suffered back or neck injuries and was taken to the hospital. Paramedics said a woman complained of chest pains.

Port Authority of Allegheny County spokesman Jim Ritchie said buses were called in to transport passengers where train service is suspended. He said he doesn’t know how long service will be interrupted.
