Faces harassment charge: Kurk Sergeant, 23, of Washington, will be charged by state police with harassment for allegedly getting into a physical confrontation Sunday at 104 Broadmore Drive, Canton, with Thomas Sergeant, 57, and Cinda Crites, 49.

Theft: Several items inside vehicles parking inside a garage at 34 Creekside Drive, Lawrence, were stolen when the garage was entered before 3:31 p.m. Saturday, township police said. The owner, Nathan Mitchell, told police he believed he locked the garage, and there was no sign of forced entry, police said. Stolen were an iPod, valued at $500, sunglasses valued at $150, and a $140 flashlight, police said.

Attempted break-in: Louise Turiczek of 215 Center Ave., Cecil, told police she found pry marks on the door and frame of her van parked at her residence, township police said. The weather stripping also was damaged. The damage was reported at 4:17 p.m. Friday.

Driver injured: Mickey Louise Dominic, 80, of 800 E. Beau St., South Strabane, was injured Saturday afternoon when her vehicle struck guardrails at Hallam Avenue and Racetrack Road, Chartiers police said. Dominic, who was taken to Canonsburg General Hospital for treatment, told police she was blinded by the sun.

Driver charged: James Redlinger, 46, of 10 Oberman Lane, Finleyville, was charged by Chartiers police with leaving the scene of an accident stemming from a Nov. 5 crash on Buccaneer Drive. Redlinger, who was driving a bus for First Transit, hit a parked vehicle owned by a co-worker, Edward Shearer III of Houston, and dragged it into the township public works building, damaging it. He then left the scene, police said.

Two hurt: Dorothy Pantely, 83, of Queens Court, Canonsburg, was injured Sunday morning when she made a left turn from the southbound lane of Route 19 at Linden Road into the path of a vehicle driven by Trivdei Santosh, 65, of Upper St. Clair, North Strabane police said. Pantely was taken to Canonsburg General Hospital. Santosh suffered a minor injury, police said.

Bicyclist injured: Dr. Kelly Crooks, 59, of Spring Valley Road, North Strabane, was injured Saturday when he crashed his bicycle in the 400 block of Linnwood Road. He told North Strabane police he was riding south through an “S” bend when he flipped over his bike, hitting the pavement with his head and right shoulder. He was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.

Motorcylist injured: John Tirpak of New Eagle was injured Sunday afternoon when his motorcycle went off the 800 block of Sugar Run Road, Nottingham, went down an embankment and hit a tree stump, state police said. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment.

Wallet stolen: A woman told police she hung a Coach wallet on a hook in a ladies room stall on the south side of the Giant Eagle, 4007 Washington Road, at 3:45 p.m. Sunday, and she left without the wallet, township police said. When the woman returned 10 minutes later, the wallet with credit cards and identification was stolen, police said. There was no cash in the wallet. The wallet is black and silver cloth.

Parts stolen: Half of a commercial-grade air conditioner was taken from the rear of a small business in the 2800 block of Old Washington Road, township police said. All of the copper wire in the unit also was stolen. Police said the theft is about $3,000 and it would cost more to repair than to scrap and purchase a new one.

DUI charges: A Washington woman and her passenger were each charged following a traffic stop at 1:57 a.m. Saturday on Bebout Road, township police said. Driver Briana McKee, 24, of Stonecrest Lane, was stopped after police said they noticed her erratic driving on Turkeyfoot Road. While performing field sobriety tests, police said a passenger, Gary Allen, 27, of the same address and who was visibly intoxicated, interfered two times and was told to return to and sit in the vehicle. The third time Allen interferred with McKee’s arrest, police placed him in a patrol car. Both were taken to the police station in different vehicles, where they waited for someone to pick them up, police said. McKee will be charged by mail with driving under the influence of alcohol after a test showed a blood-alcohol content of 0.137 percent, police said. The state presumes intoxication at 0.08 percent. Allen will receive a citation in the mail for disorderly conduct.

Burglary: The lock was removed from a storage unit at TAR self storage, 3054 Washington Road, before 3:24 p.m. Friday, township police said. The unit was ransacked. Several items were stolen, including several Coach purses, a buck knife and an older Citizen’s watch, police said. A new lock was placed on the unit before the burglar left.

Three injured: All of the occupants in one vehicle involved in a two-vehicle accident were taken to a hospital at 1 p.m. Sunday, township police said. Both vehicles were traveling west on East McMurray Road at the intersection with Heritage Meadows Drive. Three vehicles were stopped as one attempted a left turn. A fourth vehicle, operated by Adrienne S. Caldwell, 30, of Aurelius Street, Pittsburgh, struck the rear of a sport-utility vehicle driven by John W. Thomas, 40, of Longleaf Drive, Venetia, police said. The first two vehicles, including the one turning, were not involved in the accident, police said.Caldwell and a passenger, Susan C. Hadfield, 59, of South Park, were not injured, police said.Thomas, and two passengers, Brenda J. Thomas, 40, and Amanda Thomas, 8, both of Longleaf Drive, were taken to Canonsburg General Hospital.

Car stolen: Iris C. Sesay of Pittsburgh told state police Sunday that her white 1999 Toyota Corolla was stolen from Carlton Drive near Gates Lane, Somerset. She told police that the car, with license JBK-2864, was parked there because it had a mechanical problem.

Burglary: Between 11:45 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday, a residence on Grant Street, Morgan, was forcibly entered through a basement door and several items were stolen, township police said. Stolen were jewelry, gift cards and electronic items.

Faces drug charges: Amanda Lee Molinaro, 30, of 990 Broad St., Washington, was charged by South Strabane police with possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police received a tip she was reportedly selling the drugs while working at Ponderosa, Trinity Point, Nov. 2. Police said they found her with 40 suspected stamp bags hidden in her bra, along with $800. Washington County adult probation officers put her in the Washington County jail on a detainer.

Two charged: Jennifer Lynn Abbott, 35, of 533 Park Ave., Canonsburg, and Jamie Whewel, 30, of 602 Park Ave., Canonsburg were charged by South Strabane police with retail theft after they allegedly stole items from Walmart, Trinity Point, Sept. 13. They are accused of removing merchandise from a box and then filling it with other items.The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Charged in theft: Kenneth L. Davis, 23, of 456 Broad St., Washington, will be charged by South Strabane police with retail theft and driving under suspension after he allegedly stole slippers and boots from Walmart, Trinity Point, Saturday. He was placed in the Washington County jail on a bench warrant.

Assault arrest: William C. Harps, 46, who South Strabane police said is homeless, was arrested Saturday for allegedly assaulting Kathy Ringer, 44, of 20123 E. Maiden St. at her home. Ringer called police after he allegedly hit her in the face. He left but returned after police arrived. Harps was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on a charge of simple assault and placed in the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Accused in toy theft: Michael T. Long, 20, of 156 Locust St., Muse, was arrested Saturday by South Strabane police after he allegedly stole 18 Lego sets valued at $967 from Walmart, Trinity Point. Long, who was charged Monday with retail theft, was placed in the Washington County jail on a probation warrant.

Information stolen: Michael King of 894 Glenn St., told South Strabane police over the weekend his personal information was used to open a Comcast account in the state of California.

Wallet stolen: Shelly Kowalski of Houston told South Strabane police Friday her wallet was stolen while she worked at Eat ‘N Park, Oak Spring Road.

Hit-and-run crash: State police are looking for a newer tan or beige Ford Explorer involved in a hit-and-run crash about 4 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 79 southbound, South Strabane. The vehicle hit the rear of a car driven by Julie Lynn Deyell, 51, of Washington, and then fled. Neither Deyell nor her 84-year-old mother were injured, police said.

Theft of ATV: David Shawl of 1239 Route 837, Elrama, reported to Southwest Regional police his ATV was stolen from Pioneer Auto between Oct. 22 and Oct. 26. Police said the lock to a fence was cut to gain entry. The ATV is a blue Yamaha Raptor with aluminum front wheels and black rear wheels.

Pool damaged: Dave Fisher of 5077 Bowling Green St. reported that numerous holes were poked into the bottom of his swimming pool within the last month. Anyone with information is asked to call Southwest Region police at 724-929-8484.

Man arrested: Ronald Patterson, 54, of 605 Ewing St., was arrested Sunday night by Washington police after he allegedly assaulted Deborah Zgorleski of Washington at his home and then threatened responding officers. Police said he threatened them when they entered his home and again when they placed him in the cruiser. Patterson was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, terroristic threats and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Driver faces charges: Chad A. Slappo, 30, of 122 Woodland Ave., Washington, faces charges of driving under the influence of drugs and possession of heroin stemming from a four-vehicle chain reaction crash Thursday afternoon at Jefferson Avenue and West Chestnut Street. Washington police said they found empty stamp bags of suspected heroin, as well as three stamp bags of the suspected drug. Witnesses told police he was driving at a high speed before crashing into a vehicle, pushing it into others.

Man missing: Stephen Wallace, 27, was reported missing to Washington police Sunday. Wallace, who police were told is bi-polar, did not return to his Washington home after visiting relatives in Canonsburg. He is black, 5-feet, 8-inches tall, weighs 170 pounds with tattoos on his arm.

Faces drug charges: Susan Doak, 46, of 25 Ramsey Road, North Franklin Township, faces charges of possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop Saturday near Wheeling and Wade avenues, Washington police said. Police said she was driving erratically. When police looked in the car, they saw a “shoot up kit” that included syringes. They also found suspected Xanax and Opana pills.The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Theft alleged: Courtney Fones told Washington police Saturday that she gave a man a $637.50 deposit to rent a home at 35 Victoria St. She later learned he had no connection to the residence. She also reported a flat screen television was stolen from the home and sold at a swap shop.

Faces charges: Paul Brownlee, 21, of 1815 Jefferson Ave., Washington, faces several charges including DUI stemming from a crash Saturday.Police saw him driving his damaged vehicle on Jefferson. When they stopped, police saw the air bag had deployed. It was later learned he hit two vehicles on the city’s West End before fleeing.

Package stolen: Michelle Sadler, of 57 McCarrell Ave., told Washington police Friday a package deliver by United Parcel Service was stolen from her home.

Students charged: Two students at Washington High School were charged by Washington police stemming from separate incidents Friday. A 17-year-old Washington boy was charged with disorderly conduct after a fight in a classroom. Another 17-year-old boy was charged with bringing a weapon to school after he was found with a pocket knife.
