Kendall Lewis, Miss Rain Day 2012, strongly believes “every child should smile on Christmas,” and has organized a toy drive for the Greene County Leathernecks Toys for Tots.

Emilia Bertugli, president of Rain Day Scholarship Inc. said, “It is important for Miss Rain Day to give back to the community and RDSI encourages such worthwhile efforts.”

New unwrapped toys for boys and girls will be collected through Dec. 13 and can be dropped off at Classy Cuts Salon at 1470 East High Street, Waynesburg. Monetary donations are accepted as well. Checks can be made payable to WOTM.

Cathy Hoskins of Classy Cuts agreed to be a drop-off location because “as a business owner, she is always striving to do whatever is possible to help our community in addition to being very proud of Kendall, who is everything positive and has a great outlook on helping people who are less fortunate,” Bertugli said.

The drop-off hours at Classy Cuts are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
