The Washington County commissioners announced a friendly wager with their counterparts in Beaver County over the outcome of the Wash High-Aliquippa football game Friday at Heinz Field.

The two schools are vying for the WPIAL football Class AA championship at 4:30 p.m., and a food basket is riding on the outcome.

The commissioners from the county of the defeated team pledge to donate food to the county food bank of the winning team.

The Quips are the defending Class AA champions, but the Washington County commissioners are hoping for a Prexies win that will benefit the Greater Washington County Food Bank.
