EBENSBURG (AP) – Authorities say a drug-dealing Pennsylvania couple had their kids do the wrong kind of peddling.

Lawrence and Stacey Wholaver are behind bars on drug and child-endangerment charges for allegedly using Stacey Wholever’s children as couriers for drug deals.

Prosecutors in Cambria County said the Wholavers had the children – ages 12, 6 and 5 – hand-deliver prescription drugs to their buyers. The two older children allegedly delivered pills to a police informant in exchange for money in one controlled buy.

The Wholavers, of Nicktown, were arrested Monday and ordered held on $50,000 bail. Court records don’t list attorneys for them.

County welfare officials put the children in the care of family members.
