Theft case: Ryan M. Zeigler, 28, of 340 Hancock St., Washington, is facing charges of theft and receiving stolen property filed by borough police, court records show. He is accused of stealing a pair of diamond earrings valued at $19,000 about 11 a.m. Tuesday from his mother, Cathie Zenner, 711 Wilmont Ave., and then exchanging them for $350 at C&J Jewelry and Gifts in Washington, police stated in the affidavit filed Wednesday at the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Threat reported: Linda Meeks of 725 Broad Ave., Washington, told city police Eugene J. Andrews, 45, of 651 N. Main St., Washington, called her about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, saying he planned to burn down her house. Police said Andrews will be charged with making terrorist threats.

Fight reported: Richard McClain, 47, of 31 E. Hallam Ave., Washington, is facing a charge of simple assault, accused of striking his daughter, Melissa Gomez, 27, of 55 Jefferson Ave., Washington, in the eye about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday at his residence, city police reported. Gomez will be charged with harassment over the disturbance, police said.
