Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges.

Appearing before Judge Janet Moschetta Bell were:

Cody T. Patnesky, 521 Hahn Drive, McMurray; retail theft, theft by unlawful taking; charged Feb. 13 at Walmart in South Strabane Township, and on Sept. 18 for stealing items from 521 Blaine Ave., Apt. 5, Canonsburg; sentence – Intermediate Punishment Program for 18 months with the first 6 months of intensive supervision.

Jeremy S. Polen, 36, of 663 W. Roy Furman Highway, Graysville; second driving under the influence offense; charged April 5 following a vehicle accident on Lone Pine Road in West Bethlehem Township, testing positive for drugs; sentence – Intermediate Punishment Program for 18 months with the first 180 days on electronic home monitoring, $1,500 fine, drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, driver’s license suspension.

Michael T. Mordecki, 30, of 43 W. Monessen St., Monongahela; receiving stolen property; charged June 18 for stealing scrap metal from Babbit Co. in Donora; sentence – 3 years of probation.

Joshua D. Gifford, 23, of 580 Sixth St., Donora; simple assault; charged July 4 for assaulting a man at 513 Elmira St., Monongahela; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Kevin B. Hamay, 50, of 51 Cedar St., Ellsworth; possession of marijuana; charged May 31, 2010, at his home; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Erin M. Levers, 30, of 305 King Air Circle, Washington; theft by unlawful taking; charged May 30 at Moe’s Southwest Grill in South Strabane Township; sentence – Intermediate Punishment Program for 36 months with the first 6 months of intensive supervision.

Michael A. Hager, 63, of 208 N. Fifth St., Martins Ferry, Ohio; receiving stolen property, theft by deception; charged May 12 at Walmart in South Strabane Township; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Daniel J. Bogol, 38, of 7 Steel St., Brownsville; retail theft; charged July 4 at the Dollar General in California; sentence – Intermediate Punishment Program for 23 months withe the first 3 months on electronic home monitoring.

Melissa Steurnagel, 23, of 69 W. Katherine Ave., Washington; possession of marijuana; charged May 22 at her home; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Jacqueline R. McFall, 34, of 114 Hamilton St., Washington; theft by unlawful taking; charged July 28 for stealing items from 108 Fulton St., North Franklin Township; sentence – 2 years of probation.

Jesse A. Ridley, 29, of 19 Sycamore St., Natrona; two counts of forgery; charged July 6, 2011, after forging two checks stolen from a Canton Township home; sentence – 18 months of probation.

William S. Moore, 53, of 2618 Beverly Drive, Washington; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Dec. 16 on Jefferson Avenue in Washington; sentence – 12 months of probation.

John W. Koster Jr., 41, of 704 Lookout Ave., Apt. A, Charleroi; second driving-under-the-influence offense, driving with a suspended license DUI-related; charged July 9, 2005, following a traffic stop on Route 837 in Carroll Township with a 0.175 percent blood-alcohol content; sentence – 180 days to 18 months in jail, $2,500 in fines, drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, driver’s license suspension.

Joshua J. Moss, 24, of 75 Woodside Drive, Washington; possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana; charged Feb. 29 following a traffic stop on Route 980 in Cecil Township; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Kimberly Mueller, 43, of 15 N. Main St., Apt. 7, Washington; retail theft; charged Aug. 28 at CVS Pharmacy in Washington; sentence – 11 1/2 to 23 months in jail.

Shawn Daugherty, 45, of 309 Depot St., Youngwood; terroristic threats; charged Jan. 5 at My Girls in Charleroi; sentence – 9 to 23 months in jail.

Keithron T. Majors, 26, of 409 Knox Ave., Monessen; possession of heroin; charged Nov. 5, 2011, following a traffic stop on Interstate 70 in Charleroi; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Abigail McAvoy, 24, of 15 Malibu Drive, Slovan; unsworn falsification; charged May 22 in Smith Township; sentence – Probation Without Verdict Program for 12 months.

Rachel A. Hutchison, 31, of 490 W. Finley Road, West Finley; endangering the welfare of a child; charged Aug. 1 after leaving a child in a vehicle outside Gabby Inn Bar in North Franklin Township; sentence – 18 months of probation.

Barry Harter, 27, of 103 W. Lincoln Ave., Apt. 5, McDonald; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Aug. 25 at his home; sentence – Intermediate Punishment Program for 12 months with the first 3 months of intensive supervision.

David Crook, 28, no known address; possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct; charged Sept. 13 at the Canonsburg Library; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Kristen M. Malsch, 22, of 103 W. Lincoln Ave., Apt. 5, McDonald; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Aug. 25 at her home; sentence – 9 months of probation.

Monique R. Hemmo, 27, of 113 Bartley Road, Upper St. Clair; possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of receiving stolen property; charged with paraphernalia on Sept. 9 at the Super 8 Motel in Canonsburg, and for stealing items from homes in North Strabane Township and McMurray from July 3, 2011, to Oct. 28, 2011; sentence – county’s 23-months restrictive intermediate punishment program.

Samuel K. Wheeler, 53, of 235 W. Walnut St., Apt. 409, Washington; theft; charged Feb. 24 for stealing $15 from 267 N. Franklin Ave., Washington; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Michael S. Orsky, 40, of 52 Vesta Ave., Fredericktown; possession of cocaine, disorderly conduct; charged with possession on June 4 following a traffic stop on Interstate 79 in North Strabane Township, and on Sept. 6 on Chartiers Avenue in Washington; sentence – 24 months of probation.

David E. Mollner, 22, of 1206 Pioneer Trail, Canonsburg; furnishing liquor to minors; charged July 30 following a traffic stop on Greenside Avenue in Canonsburg; sentence – 12 months of probation, $1,000 fine.

Jason Mooney, 41, of 413 N. Jefferson Ave., Canonsburg; harassment; charged Aug. 31 for harassing a Canonsburg woman; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Bradley A. Bolen, 37, of 350 Rowes Ban Road, Smock; two counts of home improvement fraud; charged for accepting money to do work on two Denbo homes but failing to do so from March 2012 to September 2012; sentence – 23 months of probation, restitution.

John M. Soltesz, no age listed, of 60 Carl Ave., Lot E10, Eighty Four; possession of suboxone; charged Feb. 21 at his home; sentence – 12 months of probation with the first 6 months of electronic home monitoring.

Maurice Garrison, 30, of 1710 Main St., Burgettstown; possession of contraband; charged April 23 at the Washington County jail; sentence – 5 years of probation.

Gregory J. Nopwaskey, 30, of 460 First St., Vestaburg; disorderly conduct; charged Sept. 23 in front of 458 Front St., East Bethlehem Township; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Justin J. Roznowski, 27, of 5212 Hardt Road, Gibsonia; disorderly conduct; charged March 30 at Rusmur Floor in Cecil; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Four people were admitted to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for first-time offenders. If they successfully complete the program, they can petition the court to have their records expunged.

Matthew A. Lambert, 25, of 433 Franklin Ave., Canonsburg, was admitted for 23 months for receiving stolen property. He was charged July 12 for stealing items from 3103 School Place, Finleyville.

Nicole K. Martinez, 30, of 129 Greenside Ave., Canonsburg, was admitted for 12 months for harassment and criminal mischief. She was charged Sept. 14 at her home.

Laurence V. Metzler, 25, of 390 Old Hickory Ridge Road, Washington, was admitted for 12 months for a first DUI offense. He was charged March 16 following a traffic stop on Westland Road in Mt. Pleasant Township.

Ronald A. McGallis, no age listed, of 1010 Chicora Road, Butler, was admitted for 12 months for a first DUI offense. He was charged Feb. 15 in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn in Canton Township.
