Church to host evangelistic team
WAYNESBURG – He comes as Simon Peter, the crusty fisherman, a Roman Centurion or as any number of other Biblical characters with a message of Christ’s love and redemption.He is Roy Gearhart, evangelist for United Methodist Churches in Western Pennsylvania. On Saturday and Sunday, Gearhart will present three of his special performances at Oak View United Methodist Church at 160 Rolling Meadows Road, Waynesburg.At 6 p.m. Saturday, the program will be a dinner theater. Gearhart also will present programs at Oak View at the 10:30 a.m. worship service and at a special Sunday evening service at 6:30 p.m. Gearhart’s varied and unique portrayals provide a wonderful message and an entertaining and moving experience for anyone who attends his performances.
