A Mexican national was sentenced Tuesday to eight months in prison followed by one year of supervised release after pleading guilty in U.S. district court to violating federal immigration laws.

Emir Costano-Lopex, 24, has previously been sent back to Mexico five times, according to information presented at his sentencing. He was found in Washington County on July 7, after having re-entered after being removed in July 2007. He was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Maurice B. Cohill.
