n Date: Oct. 1 n Discussion: Council briefly discussed the upcoming due date for Local Share Account grant applications. Council was asked to consider sponsoring a LSA application from the Tri-County Patriots for Independent Living for its renovation project at the former YWCA building on West Maiden Street. Mayor Brenda Davis asked TRIPIL send a letter of request prior to the next council meeting. Parking Director Tom Kearns asked council to consider spending roughly $15,000 on 200 refurbished parking meters. Council briefly discussed an amended ordinance pertaining to vehicle impoundment that will be up for approval Thursday following the final reading. The ordinance could add a $25 fee to the reclamation form for violators. Council also heard from a resident who claimed her yard had been damaged by a Waste Management truck. Davis said she would look into the matter. n Next meeting: 7 p.m. Thursday at City Hall.
