A Monongahela man who recently had moved to Phoenix, Ariz., died in a traffic accident Tuesday afternoon. Phoenix police said Jess Wade Bartman, 27, died when the motorcycle he was operating collided with a van at 7th Street and Deer Valley Road. Police said the woman driving the van failed to yield to oncoming traffic and turned left. Charges are pending in the accident. Police said Bartman was wearing a helmet. Bartman was the son of Tim and Cindy Bartman and a Ringgold High School graduate. He had moved to Arizona about two weeks ago. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess St., Monongahela.
