n Date: October 4 n Action: The school board authorized solicitor Dennis Makel to file a civil lawsuit in Allegheny County against the Central Tax Bureau of Pennsylvania Inc. Centax allegedly owes income tax revenue to several school districts after declaring bankruptcy.
n Discussion: The school board discussed implementing a ROTC program. History teacher Eric Clacks is a retired U.S. Army major and offered to run the program. If the plan is approved, the ROTC program would begin in fall 2013. The school board discussed permanently closing the Pit, a former parking lot area, and installing guardrails or a permanent gate. No action was taken. n Next meeting: 6:30 p.m. Oct. 18 in the high school auditorium
