Xi Lambda Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority will hold its fall dinner at 6 p.m. today at Fairdale Inn, Carmichaels. The 20th Century Club of Waynesburg will hold a bake sale from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday on the courthouse steps. Members may drop off their baked goods beginning at 8 a.m. or bring them to the meeting at 7 p.m. tonight. Alka Rahmbia, a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator, will present a lecture on obesity and healthy living at 6 p.m. Oct. 17 in the Guesman Room at Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg. This event is free and open to the public. To reserve a seat call 724-627-2412. A spaghetti dinner will be held to benefit Brad Szczyrbak of Waynesburg, who was injured in a welding accident several months ago and who faces large medical expenses that have left him and his family struggling financially.
